All religions contain some good and some truth. However no religion has all the good or all the truth, not even the religion of science. No religion can claim exclusivity for they all came from the same source. Big Tree 4/29/2012

I met a older man of origin I didn't know who shared some wisdom with me a long time back. As we sat on a bench looking out over a park he told me his story. He pointed out a large group having a good time across from us. He said my wife passed about from cancer about forty years ago. Before she passed she told me something I have followed from that day until now. Do what is good for you, and good for others. Live life as a adventure. When something excites you give it your passion. Shortly after I found out a girl nearby was pregnant. Her family had thrown her out and she didn't have any place to go. I took her in, and after about two months, married her so her baby could have a name and a father. We have had our up's and downs. But she gave me five children. She is over there with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. I started a business shortly after we got married and it has prospered. All of my children have enjoyed the fruits of my labors. So never turn away from someone or something that interest you. Follow your heart and follow your dreams. Big Tree 4/28/12

Always remember our people came from the stars. We are here to care for Mother Earth, teach others how to live in harmony and learn to return to the stars. Grandmother 1953

A elder from another tribe once told me "The people is what we call our self, but every village, every clan, every nation and all of the races have to learn we are all one." Big Tree 4/23/12

The first thing most of the elders taught was simple. Address the needs
first, the need for shelter, the need for food, the need for health, the
need for clothing, the need for education, the need to contribute and
the need for companionship. Every thing else is a want, not neccesary
for the growth or well being of the person.

Not just the medicine person or chiefs had this responsibility but every
man, woman or child of either acting when they saw a need or bringing to
the attention of the people.

Cornplanter said. "I see two types of governments. One like that of the USA tells the people what to do and only at the threat of rebellion gives the people anything they need. The other like the traditional government of our people listens to the people and responds. One plays on fear to keep the people in line. the other is loved by the people. Your job as you come of age is to hang onto the one and try and change the other." As he spoke to a bunch of thirteen year olds including me.

I usually try not to repeat what I said before, however this needs

repeating.

Love your neighbor.
Love your black neighbor, love your gay neighbor, love your illegal
neighbor, love your single parent neighbor, love your pot head neighbor,
love your ex-mate neighbor, love your oriental neighbor, love your redneck
neighbor, love your disabled neighbor, love your American Indian neighbor, love your Muslim
neighbor. Why because that is what Jesus and a whole bunch of elders
said is the way to live. Time to walk your talk.

Fortunately most of our children are growing up much better educated then their parents. Today most of them have renounced much of what their parents believed and acted on. It will make a big difference when they turn on the masters. When they say take your greed and shove it. when they say to the politician walk your talk. It doesn't matter what race, nationality or religion, they were born into, the blindfold has been removed and they are demanding equal pay for equal work, a voice in what they do, a voice in government, a voice in every area of life. the Indians had this all along and offered it to the colonist in the beginning, now what we offered is being accepted by the great grand children of those who put their feet on our necks. Their is hope for Mother and all our relations. Rejoice and share your knowledge with the young.

In both politics and religion words are but window dressing. So it is in
living. If the words and deeds are not the same the words are but lies
and the deeds are to speak for you, the politician or the religious
leader. the same with the words and actions of the parents, if they
differ which do you think the children will follow?

How many people do you know that kill them self in order to keep a promise to others? They same people make promises to them self, with the idea that someday they are going to do this or that. It's always someday. what have you done to bring those promises into being? Even small steps toward the promises of someday are better then wishful thinking. Or maybe promises to self don't count in your world. In mine all promises are to be carried out to family, friends, strangers and above all to self.

If life is difficult remember that's either because you choose it or because you are not growing in purpose. If you seem to be going in circles. choose something you can do that benefits others. Each of us entered the Earth to learn, to serve or both. Also never stop learning, all new knowledge is beautiful, even if you don't think you will use it. Above all don't think you know everything because Great Mystery/Creator will give you a kick in the pants to make you wake up.

April 1st.

It is time. time for the women of the world to stand up to the men and say no more war. Women are more affected by war then men are. They send their children and husbands to war, only to get back a shell or a body or nothing at all. They suffer rape, mutilation or forced prostitution at the hands of the soldiers. They are made homeless, widowed or bereaved no matter how far from the fighting they may be. If they are to be killed, raped or ravished let it be for standing between the warriors and saying no more fighting. No more of the insanity called war. From this day forward we will support only men who stand for and work for peace and understanding between all people.

From the elders who met me and asked that I come back when I passed on the time before last to the place of light.
