The next need not just of Earthkeepers but all mankind is to learn the
variations of Mother Earth not just where they live but within ten miles
in every direction (more if possible). That way you may heal the scars
of construction, loss of habitat of mothers other children and stand up
for the other children as well as the two legged who have nobody to
speak for them. It means making friends not just with people of like
interest but choosing to make friends with all you meet.

A part of being a Earthkeeper is the Greeting of Grandfather Sun each

day. Though some also or instead of said goodbye to grandfather each
evening.

This is the morning greeting, which should be given in the language you
are most converse with or your native language.

Good Morning Grandfather.
Thank you for your light and warmth.
Thank you for impregnating our Mother the Earth that we her children
might have life.
Above all Grandfather Thank you for being a dim reminder of the far
greater light beyond.

The evening prayer is the same.

Good night Grandfather.

Both are followed with smoke and prayers as needed.

"It doesn't matter what you believe. It doesn't matter how you came to believe that way. What matters is that you live the basic ideals of whatever you believe. That and treat everyone you meet like you want to be treated."

Live each day as if it's your last and enjoy the journey. Do as much good as you might and extend your friendships at every opportunity. This is a recipe for life that I try to follow myself.

No matter where you are in life be it the newborn, the youth, the adults
or the elders you have a purpose in life and to the others in life's
wheel. The newborn to teach care and responsibility to the adults. The
youth to teach fun and learning ability to the elders and adults. The
adults to care for and protect the children and elders. The elders to
teach the youth and the adults that everything comes full circle.

I remember the first time I sat in council at 13. The person who called the council, though I forget it' purpose now, spoke first. I remember her telling what the problem was and asking for help in resolving it. Slowly each of us in the room gave our understanding of the problem until after four rounds and we were ready to say consensus has not been reached. I was the next to last person to speak when I had a idea. As it came my turn I asked the one person who was blocking why he was doing so. It turned out he was afraid the he would have to help with the cost. Also turned out the village had extra money set aside for such emergencies. Once that was understood, consensus was reached and we finished the business. I had remembered one of the lessons from a few days before. If you disagree on something, obviously one of you is asking the wrong question. I thought of this because of a question someone asked me a couple of days ago. Hope it helps someone. Remember sometimes the person you need to ask a new question to might be you.

All negative emotions stem from fear. Control fear and you control greed which is fear of not enough, lust which stems from the same emotion and all other negative thoughts and emotions. How do you control fear, by recognizing for what it is when it comes up and thinking of something positive in place of it.

To begin the healing process which we all need in order to live life to it's fullest we meed to meditate. In order to use meditation to it's fullest, we have to before going into meditation ask our self a question that we do not have the answer to. A good question to ask in the beginning is "What is the main thing I am doing that I need to change."

Meditation is need for renewal, understanding and even answers to problems. First before you even start to meditate each time, ask yourself any question you can't answer for yourself. The use the following technique to deepen your meditation. Breath in thru your nose for a count of four. Hold your breath for a count of four. Breath out thru your mouth for a count of twelve. Repeat for either three or more times (up to twelve). Just enjoy the time in meditation. Sometimes you will get your answer during meditation, but usually it will come unexpectedly from some source within the next week. So use the meditation to renew yourself and expect it to help you in your life as a side affect.

The biggest lesson to learn is, we are all alike. We are all special. We
all are different in some unique way. We all have a gift or something to
share that can and will make a difference to someone or mankind. If
nothing else share your dreams, even the ones you have killed in your
quest to make a living. Often we get so wrapped up in making a living we
forget to live,

Nature is ever changing. Everything in nature grows, changes, dies and is reused. That should be the same with mankind. Always be ready to grown ,change, die and be reused for some other purpose as Great Mystery/Creator ordained. Everything you use or construct should be made and used in the same manner.

Being either a hollow bone or hollow reed means allowing something higher then self to take over for the greater good. It's not a process you control or can direct. The person or thing being helped knows what is needed, just allow the energy to flow through you.

as you are here you have to deal with the problems and opportunities of
this life. Either you keep growing with the changes you encounter or you
fall back and have to learn the same lessons over and over.
